Join our UCAS Policy Groups

The Policy Groups represent the diverse interests of UCAS’ customers and stakeholders enabling progression to UK post-secondary education including higher education (HE) and apprenticeships.

We host four groups across the UK nations – England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland – to influence and inform our policy positions through a nation-specific lens.

Together, the four country-specific policy groups supplement and augment the work of UCAS Council, which advises the UCAS Board. The Chairs of each policy group sit on UCAS Council to ensure a consistent flow of information.

Our Policy Groups are instrumental in establishing a diverse and well-rounded voice. Hear from our current members.

We’re on the look-out for individuals from across the UK who can help us influence and inform our policy positions. 

We are currently recruiting to fill several vacancies on our groups. So, if you meet any of the below criteria, we’d love to hear from you!

• Apprenticeship experts: You will be working within the apprenticeship field and have an interest and knowledge in education, policy, and widening access and participation.  
• Students: You may be in full-time secondary education, at college, or at university and/or doing an apprenticeship.
• Employer and business representatives: You will be working in industry and have an interest in exploring how business and employers can support education.
