Visual Effects Supervisor Pietro Ponti joined Industrial Light & Magic in 2021 with 16 years experience in the VFX industry. Previously, Ponti served as VFX Supervisor and Head of VFX at Important Looking Pirates overseeing effects driven features including Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as well as episodic series such as HBO's Lovecraft Country.

Additionally, he worked with the team at Important Looking Pirates to grow their production structures and workflows. Earlier in his career he worked several years at Double Negative, where he took initiative in the development and training of junior artists as well as on show mentoring all while contributing to large scale features such as the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Dark Knight, the Harry Potter film series and Marvel's Thor: The Dark World.
