How many new applicants already know which university they will end up enrolling at? When are decisions really made? And why? Do expectations about applying stack up to reality?
This session will explore key decision-making steps on the applicant journey, from selecting 5 mainscheme choices, choosing a firm and insurance choice, through to results day and Clearing. We compare the survey data on expectations to operational data on behaviours, highlighting differences between those sure of their choices and those more open to influence in their journey. We’ll consider applicants’ expectations of offer making, what impacts their choices, and whether their priorities change during the process.
