Admissions Conference 2021

UCAS follows agile methodologies for developing and releasing new services and functionality. One benefit of this approach is being able to release the right development at the right time but agile release schedules can often feel at odds with the traditional annual cycle of records system updates. This session will explore the challenges of balancing the two approaches and what opportunities there may be to increase the pace of new releases.

Learning outcomes:

• Delegates will understand UCAS approaches to agile development and releases
• Delegates will hear feedback from Student Records Officer communities on releases
• Delegates will have a clear view of the common challenges of an approach where new services are delivered as and when they are ready, and will have contributed to an exploration of how those challenges might be resolved.
