What is the deadline for late applicants for 2020?
2020 UCAS Undergraduate applications can still be registered for, and submitted as normal, until 18:00 (UK time) on 30 June.
Applying by this date allow syou to add up to five choices, and are dependent on whether the universities applied to are still recruiting and willing to consider the application.
Any applications sent after 18:00 (UK time) on 30 June will go straight into Clearing.

Some students take the IB Diploma final exams in November. How can they enter grades if they are applying to courses with a 15 October application deadline?
When applying to UK universities, many students do not have completed grades and qualifications for all courses. We ask teachers or counsellors to submit predicted grades for those students.
This is part of the reference process.

What is the procedure for A level results to be sent to universities and colleges?
UCAS works with the UK and international A level awarding bodies to match exam candidates to applicants, and we receive grades automatically from the awarding bodies to pass onto the universities and colleges to help them confirm places.

Will universities accept the 2020 assessed grades for September 2021 entry, for those applicants holding a deferred offer?
If a candidate is holding a deferred place for 2021 entry, confirmation of their place will be based upon the grades received for them in July/August 2020.
If this has been a school-based grade (such as the IB or A level), universities and colleges will be expected to take that result because the overall awards are being moderated by the exam board or awarding authority. If a student achieves the grades for their conditional offer, then they will receive their place.

Students ask me if they can swap their firm choice for their insurance choice after they receive their graduation results and eventually join their insurance choice university – is this possible?
If a student accepted offers in the last 14 days, he or she can contact one of our advisers to make any changes to their replies.
If it’s been more than 14 days since they replied to their offers, there is a more detailed process to follow. We are unable to guarantee the student can change them at this stage: they need to speak to the universities or colleges about changing their replies, and then call us, to let us know what they want to do. No reply swaps are possible after 23 July 2020.
