Cambridge Inspector for OIB History/Geography, ASIBA/Cambridge Assessment

Biography

John is a geographer, educator, and assessment specialist. John has an MA in geography from Cambridge University and a PGCE from Leeds University. He worked for 43 years as a teacher, in a variety of state and private schools, including involvement in teacher education and professional development. John worked as chief examiner and principal coursework moderator for the OCR Bristol Project Geography GCSE and was involved in the 1995 Dearing re-write of the geography national curriculum. John is now retired from teaching, but works in a variety of roles for Cambridge Assessment International Education, contributing to assessment in Egypt, Kazakhstan, Brunei, Singapore, and France. He is co-author of a textbook for Cambridge International A level geography and is currently the Cambridge OIB Inspector for history/geography for the British option of the French Baccalaureate Général.
