Mark joined UCAS in 2018, following previous information governance roles with local government and the police. He is responsible for supporting UCAS’ compliance with information governance legislation and best practice, including assuring appropriate policies and procedures are in place. He leads and advises on data breach and information security investigations and remediation, and coordinates the information security actions to support the organisation’s ISO27001 information security certification. Mark also acts as UCAS’ Data Protection Officer, providing advice and guidance to employees on data protection law and its practical application.
