How the emerging landscape planned for post-16 vocational education could impact on entry to university

Summary

How do you perceive and value Applied General (Cambridge Technical/BTec) Qualifications alongside A levels as entry to university? The landscape for post-16 vocational education is under the DfE spotlight, and there are proposed changes to move towards a binary approach which will leave students choosing between A levels and T Levels. We continue to see a growth of vocational qualifications as a route to higher education and rise of ‘blended’ A level and vocational 16-19 programmes, so would like to discuss this approach with you as well as how you perceive T Levels – a welcome addition, or a threat to existing Applied Generals.
