Carolyn Savage has worked for over 20 years in the field of education and training, she is married with two children and lives in Northamptonshire.
She currently is heading up the Apprentice Engagement team whose role is to inspire, inform and engage people in apprenticeships, and to work with teachers, careers leaders and parents. This includes managing the Apprenticeship Skills and Knowledge ‘ASK’ programme for schools and FE colleges and the apprenticeship school’s resource portal for teachers called Amazing Apprenticeships.
Previously she managed the Communication and Events team for the National Apprenticeship Service who focussed on increasing engagement in apprenticeships. This work involves communication and engagement with schools, students, parents, employers and other key stakeholders.
Over her working life she has worked extensively with schools, FE colleges, training providers and employers across a range of both Adult Skills, National Careers Service and post 16 policy and funding.
She is passionate about the benefits that apprenticeships can bring not only to the individual but also to the economy and the business benefits to employers.
