Biography
Rowena is Head of Careers, and a personal tutor, at Greenhead Sixth Form College, Huddersfield, where she has worked since 2002. The dual role allows her an overview of the UCAS process, as well as being involved in the nitty-gritty of checking personal statements, and writing references for students. There are 1,300 students in a year group and, typically, 92% go on to higher education. Prior to this, Rowena worked for Calderdale and Kirklees Careers Service, and before that she was Head of Creative and Performing Arts, an English teacher, and a sixth form tutor in a comprehensive school.
