The direct contact service (DCS) is UCAS’ experimental matching service, aimed at presenting applicants with new opportunities and assisting them to enter higher education.
Using the vast amount of historical information we have at UCAS, DCS uses data to intelligently match signed up applicants to providers, based on the applicants they previously accepted. Providers receive details of matched applicants, and have the opportunity to call them directly and make an offer.
The service has successfully run for the last three cycles, and has helped over 2,500 applicants find a place in university so far. This session will look at how the service works, and how you can make it work for you and your student. We will share both applicant and provider experiences of using the service over the last three years.
