Naureen Abubacker is a Senior Widening Access Officer at Birkbeck, University of London. Birkbeck has a proud tradition of improving access to higher education for individuals who have had a break in education or have taken a less traditional route into HE. In her role, Naureen delivers information, advice and guidance for mature learners and raises awareness of the alternative pathways that can be explored both pre and post entry, for those seeking to return back to education and the progression routes this can lead them onto.
