Joanna Williamson is a researcher at Cambridge Assessment working in the educational measurement team. Joanna holds an MMath and PGCE from the University of Oxford and a PhD from the University of Southampton, where she researched numerical development in five year olds. Before joining Cambridge Assessment in 2015, Joanna worked on statistical research in other areas of education and in healthcare. Current research projects include the impact of AS and A level reform, the effects of mark scheme differences, and the relationships between students’ school qualifications and their progression to further/higher education, employment and training.
