Universities and colleges seek to support applicants from all backgrounds applying to higher education (HE). This session will look at how HEPs support applicants with criminal convictions entering HE, recapping and expanding on the findings of last year’s session.
The session will also look at applicants applying to HE from prison. These applicants face a series of unique challenges, including limited internet access, and lack of a permanent address. This session will explore the context of applicants applying to HE from a prison or with a criminal conviction, and allow providers to share their approaches and experiences on supporting these applicants.
