In this highly competitive and marketised sector, data is king. The senior leadership of any institution needs to have clear and well-presented admissions data to inform their budgeting & resource planning and senior admissions team members are often expected to provide this information within a limited timeframe.
What you have to do to keep your executive team up-to-date can vary considerably depending on your institution type and mission and even the distinct personalities of the exec team themselves; you may be asked to report on the success of Widening Participation initiatives, conversion rates, provide historic comparisons and often to predict the future.
To help you better prepare for any such requests, this session will put forward two case studies from two very different institutions, an Alternative Provider and a research intensive Russell Group institution. Each institution will provide a background to how they interact with and inform their executive team and provide an opportunity for you to discuss and ask questions from your own perspective. Through hearing the experiences of others, participants should leave with new ideas or thoughts on how to brief their exec team and be prepared for any kind of request they may receive.
