In choosing to study at university you are making a considerable investment in your future and it is a decision that we take seriously. We will make every effort to ensure that your experience as a student here will help you to develop your potential to the full.
We will provide you with sound academic knowledge, but we also believe that the rich diversity of cultural and social experiences that you will have as a student here will help you develop a range of personal and professional qualities as we believe that these are both equally important considerations when choosing a university.
Trinity Saint David Students' Union is the hub of student activity on campus, offering everything to enhance your time at the University.
Every student who fully registers with the University of Wales Trinity Saint David automatically becomes a member of the Students’ Union and has access to all of its services.
Your Student Experience, Your Students' Union!
The Students' Union (SU) is a democratic organisation run by students for students.
Trinity Saint David Students’ Union (TSDSU) exists to enhance the experience of all students studying at the University. The SU officers and staff are here to help you add value to your student experience by offering lots of activities, projects and leadership opportunities.
Don’t see something that you fancy getting involved in? Come and see us and set something up – we’re your Union and your vehicle to shape the type of student experience you want to have.
Your SU will support you through your time at University by protecting your rights and amplifying your voice. Your SU works by bringing together students from across the University to campaign for positive change on your course, in your academic School, on your campus, and in your local community and beyond.
We make sure that your concerns and ideas are at the centre of University decision-making and, through our membership of the National Union of Students, influencing decision makers on a national stage.
Our staff and officers are connected to University support structures and on hand to help you if you encounter problems, get into trouble, or are struggling with anything whilst at Uni. This means that from the minute you arrive there’s someone here to help.
Our specialty is academic issues but we will always know who to put you in touch with if you have other needs, and you’ll find that we’re friendly, discreet and ready to help.
We have a huge range of full-time officer, part-time officer and volunteering positions available each year – so there’s always an opportunity for you to get involved in leading your SU. Some of our most important positions are Course and Faculty Representatives – students elected by you to feed into discussions and decision-making within your academic Schools and on University committees.
Make sure that you know who your course rep is, and if you haven’t got one – put your name forward! Your SU supports all of our elected reps, makes sure that they’re trained, briefed and equipped to transform your education and make your experience awesome.
