University of Huddersfield
Huddersfield
Courses
The University has five academic schools: Applied Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Business, Education and Law, Computing and Engineering, and Human and Health Sciences. Many courses offer both full-time and part-time study options, allowing students to fit study around their other commitments.
If you study full-time, a normal Bachelor’s degree takes three years. If you take up a work placement or ‘sandwich’ year, your course would usually take four years in total. You can also combine undergraduate and postgraduate study for some courses. Our integrated Master’s degrees last four years or five if you spend a year on placement.
The University also offers a number of higher and degree apprenticeships, across the subject areas of Business, Education, and Health. These courses allow apprentices to study for a qualification, whilst spending a large proportion of time in the workplace. The apprentice provision at Huddersfield is rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.
