University of Reading

The University of Reading is a research-intensive campus university in south-east England, close to both London and Heathrow airport. With more than 150 years of history, the university is now recognised for its expertise in areas such as climate science, business, agriculture, and food science. It also has a global presence, with two overseas campuses and dozens of international partnerships.  

What makes us stand out?

For the second consecutive year, the University of Reading has been placed among the world’s top 200 universities, at 172, in the QS World University Rankings 2025 and is ranked 25 in the UK.

We are also proud to be the number one university in the UK in the latest People & Planet University League table, climbing three places to claim the top spot in the 2023/2024 rankings, which measure UK universities by their environmental and ethical performances. 

Scholarships and funding

The University of Reading has a wide range of scholarships on offer to international students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The opportunities for funding may be country or course specific but there is always some element of financial aid available to all international students.
