At Loughborough, we take pride in offering an experience and creating a community that you can be proud to belong to. We were named University of the Year at the Whatuni? Student Choice Awards 2020, which are based on reviews and ratings from current students across the UK. It's the third time we have won the award: we were named University of the Year by the WhatUni? Awards in 2015 and again in 2018. What's more, in the Times Higher Education (THE) Student Experience Survey 2018, Loughborough came first in the country. Since the inception of the survey in 2006, Loughborough has topped the table eight times, and been in the top five no less than 11 times. Over the period of the survey Loughborough has enjoyed the best results in the country for student satisfaction. We are also ranked 2nd for student experience in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022 and 2nd* in England for overall satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2021.

Our reputation for sporting excellence, which spans performance, facilities, expertise and working partnerships, is confirmed by our current position as University of the Year for Sport in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022. It is the third time Loughborough has won this prestigious title. We are also the best university in the world for sports-related subjects for the fifth year running, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021.
