London School of Business and Finance

LSBF was established in 2003, and has grown from a single college focused on professional qualifications to an international network delivering a wide range of degrees in partnership with a variety of schools and associations.

The college now has campuses all over the world including the UK, Singapore, and Canada, as well as using the online platform InterActive to deliver education to students who can’t attend a campus.

It is a member of Global University Systems (GUS), which is a growing network of 20 institutions and academic partners providing education to over 40,000 students worldwide.

History and Development

The first overseas campus was opened in Toronto, Canada, in 2011. It was followed by the Singapore campus later that year, making LSBF the first UK-based business school to have a campus in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, there are now representative offices for LSBF throughout the world, including Colombia, the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Russia, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.

Also in 2011, David Blunkett – the former UK Home Secretary and Education Secretary – was appointed as a visiting lecturer. He has continued to be involved in LSBF’s operations ever since, including conducting interviews for the school’s Great Minds video series with figures such as Richard Branson, Tony Blair, and Sir John Major.

In 2012, Professor Dr Maurits Van Rooijen became LSBF’s CEO and Rector, helping the college to expand and develop academically. Professor Van Rooijen is an experienced academic, author, and a champion of innovation in education. In 2013, he was awarded the EAIE Constance Meldrum Award for Vision & Leadership.

Awards and accreditations

In 2013, LSBF won the Queen's Award for Enterprise. LSBF won two Global Business Excellence Awards in 2014 for ‘Outstanding Educational Service’ and ‘Outstanding Executive’.

Our  undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are delivered through InterActive, while our Executive Education programmes are delivered at LSBF’s London campus, just a few minutes’ walk from Holborn. Any professional programmes are delivered both online and at our London campus. LSBF offers intensive programmes online and on-campus leading to ACCA and CIMA professional qualifications powered by InterActive.

LSBF’s Career Services predominantly focus on those studying on campus, helping them to achieve success after graduation. For those studying online, career support is offered through InterActive.
