Hull: a University of its city
Hull is a vibrant city in East Yorkshire, famous as the birthplace of William Wilberforce, leader of the abolition of the slave trade. His legacy is celebrated at the Wilberforce House Museum and through the annual Freedom Festival, which fills the city with arts and culture.
Hull also offers lively festivals like Humber Street Sesh, free museums such as the Ferens Art Gallery, and a friendly atmosphere with affordable living. With easy access to London, Leeds, and the Yorkshire countryside, it’s an ideal place for international students where your money goes further.
A serious investment in your future
We’re committed to providing our students with top-class facilities and an ideal environment in which to live and learn, which is why we’ve invested £300-million into our campus in recent years.
Alongside our ivy-clad red-brick buildings, you’ll find supermodern structures of steel and glass. A 7-storey library, sports centre and gym, modern accommodation, bars, cafés, and more. All within a 10-minute walk of each other.
We’re tired of bad news. So we’re doing some good.
We’re research leaders in renewable energy, flood resilience, cancer, palliative and wound care, mental health and addiction, knife crime, and the fight against modern slavery.
Our research is helping to build the largest wind farms in the world. It’s also helping students build successful careers in growth sectors like AI, flood risk management, social justice and renewable energy.
