As a University of Exeter student, you’ll benefit from outstanding teaching delivered by leading academics. Our degrees are inspired by our world-leading research*, and recognised by the prestigious triple Gold rating in the most recent Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF 2023) - a distinction held by only a few Russell Group universities. We offer flexible and supportive study options, enabling you to complete your Bachelors degree in three years or gain valuable experience through an additional year-long placement in industry, work, or study abroad. For international students, our partnership with the on-campus INTO centre provides foundation year options for many of our programmes. Visit our website for more details.
We’re proud to attract top students from around the world and are offering over £5 million in international scholarships for students starting studies with us in 2025. This includes our prestigious Exeter Excellence Scholarships, which award outstanding academic achievement, as well as a range of other national / regional, subject-specific, sports, music and other awards.
Based in the beautiful South West of the UK, our campuses offer the ideal scenic and secure place to study and enjoy student life. Devon and Cornwall, where all four of our campuses are based, are consistently ranked as amongst both the best and the safest places in the UK (Office for National Statistics data) and benefit from good transport connections to the rest of the country and international airports, with London only 2.5 hours by train from our Exeter campuses.
As well as state of the art learning, teaching, study and sports facilities, you’ll also find many student accommodation options on either our campuses or just a short walk in the city. Living in our student halls is a great way to ease your transition into living in the UK, with benefits including a dedicated welfare team to help you settle in. Our campuses and accommodation also have 24/7 security support, so help is always available if you need it.
We also offer extensive support services to our international students. Our award-winning careers service runs many invaluable schemes, including career planning, job application and interview preparation, one-to-one mentoring with successful alumni, employment fairs, and specific career-ready programmes for China and India. Our International Student Support team will be available from before your arrival to assist with everything from your visa to opening a UK bank account to accessing healthcare. Once you are here, you can also take advantage of our English language support, academic assistance, 24/7 wellbeing support and tailored support for specific needs, including disabilities.
With over 400 clubs, sports and societies, there are many opportunities to get involved in our thriving student community. Keen athletes can join our many top-performing sports clubs (Exeter consistently ranks top 5 of the British Universities & Colleges Sport league table), while cultural societies help international students connect and organise major University-wide celebrations like Diwali and Lunar New Year.
