Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships offer the best of both worlds, allowing you to learn on the job, earn a wage and get the benefits of university study. At DMU our Higher and Degree Apprenticeship programmes cover topics including data analysis, management, cyber security, paramedicine and nursing, providing you with the skills, knowledge and experience to excel in the workplace.

Utilising innovative online resources, you can study alongside your work commitments with on-the-job training and classroom-based study. You’ll also be assigned a workplace mentor to help support you in the workplace.

Your employer and/or the government will pay the full cost of your apprenticeship but find out if your employer is a levy-paying organisation or not. If they pay the levy, then 100 per cent of your apprenticeship can be supported by it and if not, the government will still pay for 95 per cent of the apprenticeship, with your employer only contributing 5 per cent.
