Overview

At University of Greenwich, your well-being is our priority. We offer a range of services to support you every step of the way throughout your student journey, from financial bursaries to mental health and wellbeing support. Read more about the support we can offer on our student support pages.

Support Services

Learning Support

· Academic and digital skills to develop students' independent learning and preparation for future employment.

· Events featuring topical discussions on artificial intelligence, wellbeing and digital transformation.

· Short courses covering skills for university, academic integrity, digital and information literacy.

Health Services

· Students at Avery Hill, Medway or Greenwich Campus can register with a local GP.

· International students studying a course of six months or more are entitled to free NHS treatment.

· Health and wellbeing information for students is available on campus and online.

Wellbeing and mental health support

· Confidential one-to-one counselling sessions are available on weekdays. Students can self-refer or be referred by staff. You can find out more here: https://www.gre.ac.uk/support/counselling

· The psychological wellbeing team holds workshops on topics such as exam stress and developing emotional resilience.

· The university uses the Spectrum.Life app to provide 24/7 mental wellbeing advice and support to students.

Disability support

· Reasonable adjustments or special arrangements can be made to support disabled students on their student journey.

· Rooms and flats that are accessible for disabled students are available at all campuses.

Bursaries and scholarships

The University of Greenwich provides a number of scholarships and bursaries. Details of each year's current offer can be found on the university’s website. Examples include:

· Accommodation Bursary for new domestic/Home undergraduate students with a low-income household.

· Care Leaver Bursary for students who have been in local authority care.

· Commuter Bursary for students from low-income households who face challenging travel costs.

· David Fussey Choral Exhibition Bursary for students selected to join the University of Greenwich Choir.
