The University’s international office – Edinburgh Global - provides support and assistance to all non-UK applicants and students on a variety of topics, such as visas and working in the UK, and offers appointments and drop-in sessions each week. They also arrange welcome and orientation activities and social events throughout the year.

Our ambitious global engagement plan puts world-class teaching and research experiences within reach. We collaborate with global partners, directly and through prestigious networks such as Universitas 21, COIMBRA, UNICA, LERU, and Una Europa. 

Our five regional centres in Latin America, Southeast Asia, South Asia, North America and East Asia, engage with students, academics, and alumni worldwide. Our interdisciplinary Global Academies and Edinburgh Futures Institute are tackling the issues that challenge us all – the climate crisis, poverty, the spread of epidemics and cross-border injustices.
