
Mike Meehan is Head of Pastoral Care and Academic Experience and Teaching Fellow at the University of Law. He completed a French and Italian degree (BA) at the National University of Ireland, Galway before studying a joint English Law and French Law degree (LLB/Diplôme de Droit français) at the universities of Kent and Grenoble. He has a LLM in EU and UK Public Law from King’s College, London and has published work on the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission. Before joining ULaw in September 2020 as a Senior Tutor, Mike taught different law modules for over 18 years at three different universities and has been both a LLB and a GDL Course Leader, and Programme Leader of Business, Law, and Social Science courses at Kaplan International College, London. Mike is a Fellow of AdvanceHE, has a PG Diploma in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, has a PG Certificate in secondary school Modern Foreign Languages teaching, and is also a qualified English language teacher. Mike was made Head of Pastoral Care in February 2021 and a University Teaching Fellow in May 2021.
