Hi! I’m Pooja, and I’ve been living in Bangor since 2021. I completed my Master’s in Molecular Medicine and am currently pursuing a PhD focused on wastewater monitoring for pathogenic fungal infections and antifungal resistance. I aspire to be a scientist who can contribute to improving public health and quality of life through meaningful research. I’m passionate about finding ways to tackle global health challenges, and I’m excited to connect with like-minded individuals who share an interest in microbiology, environmental sciences, and public health!

Environmental Sciences
In my gap year, I found my passion for the environment and interest in sustainability in every day life. I hope to go into a career after my studies where I can make a difference and help facilitate positive change to help protect the environment from further harm, whilst also lobbying for positive climate action with the hope of one day seeing a completely sustainable and zero-harm society.
