Hello! My name is Charlene, a second year Politics & International Relations student. I am originally from Ghana, but I have lived in London for about 5 years now, having done my GCSEs and A Levels here in the UK. I love to read, I love to write and have chill days cuddled up on my bed with a blanket watching Netflix. I love to get involved at uni so I work for the University as a student ambassador and also for the Students Union as a school and course rep. Hi, I’m Md Tasin Haque Bhuiyan, a Master’s student in International Relations in the Department of Government. Originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh, I’ve always been fascinated by the intricate dynamics of diplomacy, international relations, and global politics.  

Before coming to Essex, I worked as a Senior Executive at Greenland Group in Bangladesh, where I gained valuable experience in international communication and corporate coordination. This role sharpened my skills in collaboration and problem-solving, which I now bring to my studies and my role as a Student Ambassador.  

I’m passionate about making a positive impact in the world and aspire to build a career in diplomacy, where I can contribute to solving global challenges and fostering cooperation between nations. Being at Essex has been an incredible journey, offering me the opportunity to interact with a diverse community of students and faculty who inspire me every day.
