I am originally from Ghana, but I have lived in London for about 5 years now, having done my GCSEs and A Levels here in the UK. I love to read, I love to write and have chill days cuddled up on my bed with a blanket watching Netflix. Hi there, I'm Georgia! I've grown up in the sunshine of South Africa on our family farm before heading to boarding school. Now, I'm studying International Relations`at Durham in St Chad's College. It was a huge decision to go overseas to university, especially to the UK. So much about the UK was going to be new to me, the weather, lifestyle, curriculum were things I prepared myself for but there's been a lot more to get used to than I was expecting. Beyond that, choosing a university from a list of so many was a challenge, but ultimately I've decided on Durham because of the collegiate system, community and suitability for my degree. So far, I'm absolutely loving my course ! International Relations has been a great fit as it allows me to engage with the world around me and start thinking about solutions to the social and global issues I am passionate about. Durham also invites loads of speakers to give talks on these topics too. Outside of my course, I've been trying to find my feet in 1st year. I'm loving college life and have been getting involved with the socials and societies within it. Please feel free to pick my brain about anything and everything !

I'm interested in a lot of political issues but also hiking in nature, gardening and foraging, and skiing/snowboarding. I adore the pub culture of the UK and really feel at home in Glasgow now :)
