My journey has led me here, where I've recently progressed from a foundation year into my first year of English language and Linguistics—a subject I'm absolutely passionate about! I aspire to become a university teacher one day, sharing my love for linguistics with future students. Hello! I'm Soraya, a 1st Year international student from Hong Kong studying BA English Language and Linguistics at University of Reading. I would be happy to chat about topics ranging from my experiences at UoR, studies and student life! Outside of study, some of my interests include video gaming (RPGs like Undertale/Omori/In Stars and Time, Sandbox games like Minecraft/Roblox etc.), playing TTRPGs with friends (D&D / Daggerheart), drawing, singing and listening to music (jpop and vocaloid are some of my favourites!).
