Archaeology (MPhil leading to PhD)

Hi! I'm currently an archaeology PhD student. I have previously completed my MSc and Ba with Uwtsd so I'm currently in my 5th year at the university. I have wanted to be an archaeologist for many years and hope to work as an Environmental archaeologist in the future.  My passions outside the classroom include netball, acting and playing saxophone. I love to keep active and cook amazing meals for next to nothing. If anyone ever needs a chat or anything i am always happy to listen, and don't worry i'm easy to find! Just look for the girl with the bright colours and ear cuffs! Because that's me!!

I have always enjoyed the academic scene, with my focus being in history and an interest in literature which I did as an A-level along with history and philosophy. My passion for history was cultivated from primary education and I have continued it since. In my spare time I enjoy exercise and socialising with my peers.

I'm Leilani, an international student studying forensic science, and I hope to one day open up a lab back in my home country! I enjoy baking, brownies specifically, listening to music, and meeting new people! I'm half Samoan, and that automatically makes me a sucker for all sorts of sports like football, rugby, and many more! Being an international student can seem scary, but with the helpful community at USW, I have managed to make a home away from home.  I understand that moving away from home and making a big change for university is a little daunting, but with a little guidance and help, it'll be a breeze.
