Ekow
University of Surrey
Management and Business PhD
My future plan is to have a successful academic career in impact research and development. My exposure and insights on the realities of the mining sector in Africa particularly Artisanal and Small-scale Mining where there is huge disconnect between government policies and the realities of poverty and livelihood issues facing mining communities, has necessitated my quest to connect policy, plans and projects to proper research. I believe design of government/ development partners' policies, plans, and projects should be anchored on proper research to have a measurable impact on the people and society.
