Hi! I'm Audrey, a year 2 English Literature student from Hong Kong. My college is St. Mary's, and I highly recommend it - most of the friends I've made here are from Mary's as well, the community is very nice in general (I'm currently involved in the Book Club, but there are so many more societies!), and the cherry blossoms are beautiful in the spring. I'm open to discussing anything about Durham, from adjusting to the teaching and learning methods from a non-A-levels background, to the collegiate system, to food and weather (it actually rains less than you think). I'm also one of the student representatives for the English Department, so feel free to approach me with any questions about the degree!

Currently, I am a fourth year Common Law student here at UoG so I spend lots of my time with my head buried in textbooks but I'm really enjoying the final year of my degree. I am a massive theatre nerd and this year, I'm the Workshops Officer for Student Theatre at Glasgow (STAG) - this has been a super fun way to meet loads of new people and work on some theatre with them! Hi! I’m Liv from Vietnam, currently studying Business with Marketing. I chose this course because it perfectly combines creativity with real-world business skills — and the university's supportive community and global outlook made it an easy choice for me.

When I’m not in lectures, you’ll probably find me planning my next solo trip, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or working on a DIY project like crocheting or embroidery. I’m also a big cat person and love meeting new people from different cultures — uni life has really helped me grow both personally and professionally.

I love uni life, and UCB is fantastic. The lecturers are friendly,  approachable, helpful and have time for you which was a big tick as this is very important. Everyone around uni is lovely. It's fresh and vibrant, and from the first day of starting in January, I knew it was the uni for me!
It's never too late to learn; if you are thinking of studying to become a nurse, I cannot recommend it enough! If i can do it, so can you!!!!

Hey, I’m Belén!
I’m originally from Spain and completed my Foundation Diploma in Paris in 2022. Currently, I’m a Textile Design student at Chelsea College of Arts, taking a sandwich year to complete a Diploma in Creative Computing at the UAL Creative Computing Institute before starting my third year. During my second year, I had the opportunity to go on exchange (back to Paris! 😊) and have also taken part in other exciting international opportunities through UAL. 

As an international student, I understand both the excitement and challenges of moving to a new country for university. From adapting to a new culture to navigating student life in London, I’ve learned a lot along the way. UAL has a welcoming and diverse community, and there are so many opportunities to connect with people from all over the world. If you’re feeling unsure about studying abroad or settling into London, I’d be happy to share my experiences and tips!

I have a strong interest in the intersection of textiles, technology, and human behavior. My work explores how computational design, weave, and interactive systems can shape our perception of materials and environments. I’m also passionate about sustainability, design innovation, and the role of craft in a digital world.

A little about me: I'm 24, and still got lots to figure out but never stressed about it. I'm always happy to talk about life, fiction and everything in between--and meeting new people is a personal hobby of mine. My plans for getting more people to watch horror movies with me is steadily failing, but my future career-planning is going alright. So, you win some and you lose some, I guess.
