Hi, I'm Melina! A third-year LLB Law student at SOAS university and aspiring solicitor. I've had the opportunity to engage with young people, learn about their aspirations, and support them through their difficulties in the past, and firmly believe prospective students should have easy access to the information they need to make life-changing decisions, such as choosing the right university. That's why I'm excited to be part of this platform, where I can provide honest insights about the law program, the workload, exams, and even the overall environment and culture at SOAS. Whether you're feeling uncertain about your course or just curious about university life, I'd love to share my experiences and help make things a little clearer for you.

I am a third year common law student from London. After university I plan to train to be a barrister. I am currently on a year abroad in Singapore - so if you have any questions about study abroad I'm more than happy to help!

Around campus, I'm usually quite busy. I've been a Welcome Week Helper - so I can tell you a lot about what to expect from Welcome Week. I've also been elected to student council twice - once as General Representative and most recently as Charities Officer. I've always looked to get involved in student societies and have been involved in the Bar and Advocacy society, Raising and Giving Society as well as the Law Review. 

I also love sports! I used to play for Glasgow uni's football team every Wednesday in first year. More recently, I have taken part in boxing as part of Student Fight Night. On my year abroad, I have also taken up rugby which has been great fun.

Hey all - My name is Nadim, and I'm an LLB Law finalist (Undergrad). 

Hobbies aside, I intend to eventually qualify under the SRA through the SQE down the line as an Employment Solicitor (or in insolvency/debt recovery), but plan to take a gap to gather some Legal work experience. Speaking of... the SOAS Legal clinic, Law society, and careers team have been incredible in helping me secure some Legal volunteering experience!

As a final year, I'd definitely recommend that you put yourself out there by applying to Campus Rep jobs/on-campus promotional positions, society committees, volunteering opportunities etc., even if you're not the most social person; trust me, it'll be fun and worth it, you'll make friends with great people you'd otherwise never have met. That, and it's always nice to have some money in your pocket.

Hi everyone, I'm a third-year student from New Delhi, India, currently pursuing my LLB (Hons) in Common Law at the University of Glasgow. When I'm not buried in legal textbooks, you'll likely find me expressing my creative side through dance, fashion, and makeup. I'm also passionate about content creation, which allows me to blend my interests in law and creativity.

Choosing the University of Glasgow was an easy decision for me. The city's vibrant atmosphere, combined with the university's prestigious law program, offered the perfect balance of academic excellence and cultural experience. As an international student, I've found Glasgow to be a welcoming and exciting place to live and study.

Hi, I’m Sara! I’m currently in the first year of my Common Law degree and am having a blast! I applied for the course because I’ve always had an interest in society, namely the way it functions and what’s influenced it - which is something you’ll be learning a lot about throughout your studies. When not bombarded with a boatload of course work ( jk😊), I enjoy spending time with the new friends I’ve made on campus and attending the various events hosted by my societies. I also have an aptitude for becoming completely obsessed with a new film series every month - right now it’s the Hunger Games (Peeta Mellark supremacy✊). In the future, I hope to specialise in corporate and commercial law and (hopefully) secure a training contract down south.
