My name is Julia and I came to Brunel University from Poland. After mandatory studies I took 3-year break from academic education, while I was traveling and working abroad (among others as a windsurfing instructor). Currently I'm living on campus with a plan to live off campus next year. In the future I'd like to pursue my career in the field of Clinical Psychology, Cognitive Psychology or Neuropsychology. I've always been interested in people's behaviour and how the human brain works, so these fields are a perfect combination for me.

I grew up in a vibrant city along the Yangtze River in central-southern China, where I developed a strong interest in finance and technology. After earning my degree in Accounting, I worked at China Merchants Bank, the largest joint-stock commercial bank in China, gaining experience in fintech, credit analysis, and risk assessment.

Now, as a postgraduate student at Warwick Business School, I am exploring the intersection of digital innovation, AI, and business transformation. I am particularly passionate about AI-generated visuals and AI voice synthesis, having followed the field since the early Disco Diffusion era. I also love exploring emerging technologies and own VR devices, AR equipment, and AI-powered smart glasses, constantly experimenting with new innovations.

Beyond technology, I am a poetry enthusiast, inspired by Edgar Allan Poe, William Blake, and Percy Bysshe Shelley. Their works fuel my creativity and curiosity.

Looking ahead, I hope to pursue a career at the intersection of AI, fintech, and digital transformation, leveraging emerging technologies to drive innovation in business. I have completed undergrad in the field of education of students with visual impairments in Turkey. After that, I have worked in a special education centre as a special education teacher for almost one year. When I was working, I won a scholarship. Thanks to the scholarship, an exiting adventure has started in my life. Thereafter, I have completed master degree at The University of Nottingham, which provided unforgettable experiences to me. Nowadays, I am in Plymouth and interested in doctoral studies about students with dyslexia. After I complete my studies, I will be academician at Marmara university in Turkey.

I am from a very small town in Ohio where nothing interesting happened, so traveling across the world to study in Glasgow has been a huge transition, yet the best thing I have ever done. I love the amazing people and the opportunity to explore Scotland as well as the rest of the world. 

After university, I am planning on becoming an inpatient psychotherapist where I will work in hospitals to help adolescents and young adults who are struggling with mental health or are in crisis. My main goal in life is to help those in need around me the best I can.

I currently study marine biology, and plan to pursue a career in conservation. I would love to work with a rescue and rehabilitation center as a rescue coordinator and care specialist, or as a diver for conservation and restoration projects around the world.

Alongside my coursework, I’m a member of the women’s rugby union. I absolutely love my team, and all the experiences I have through them (like Wednesday night socials)! Sport and society opportunities at Bangor are phenomenal, and I’d love to tell you all about them! We also have a multitude of volunteering opportunities, with truly something for everyone. Bangor can feel quite small, but between uni-sponsored opportunities, third-party events, and living on the doorstep of Eryri, there’s no reason you can’t have a vibrant time here.

Hello :) my name is Kamila, and I am a second year master's student at the University of Essex, studying Speech and language Therapy. I come from Slovakia, however I completed my secondary education here in the UK. During my undergraduate studies in BA English Linguistics, I have been introduced to the module of clinical linguistics, in which I learnt about speech and language therapy. Since then I have been determined to become a paediatric speech and language therapist, as it will allow me to help and advocate for children with speech and language difficulties. My particular interest is in bilingual and multilingual children. I am enjoying my course, as I am able to learn many new skills, and put them into practice during various placements. 

I believe that the social life at Essex exceeds most universities in the UK. Thanks to its diversity, you will be able to join various societies depending on your hobbies and interests. This year, I am a vice-president of the Speech and Language Therapy Society. As a society we offer a variety of events, including guest speakers, revision sessions, social events, and our favourite annual summer ball! I am also a member of the Essex Blades Dance competition team, and I am really looking forward to the upcoming competition season.

I love psychopharmacology and neuroscience, I'm hoping that after my degree I will be able to continue my passion for these topics and continue onto a PhD! My main interests within these fields is the impact of drugs on individuals and societies, both legal and illegal. 
I'm currently working with the Lancaster Social and Behavioural Sciences lab on a project looking at correlations between activity, eating behaviours, smartphone usage and mood.
