I am from Plymouth in the South-West of England. I stayed there until I was 18 and subsequently moved to Perth, Western Australia where I worked on a tall ship for a 18 months. I then moved to Auckland as well as Vancouver, BC a few years later to experience new places. 

I love my degree and cannot wait to graduate and get stuck into Materials Science at a professional level. The testing, research and analysis are things I particularly love about my degree and I'd be delighted to chat about them!

I would describe myself as scientifically minded, with a systematic approach to working, and enthusiasm to learn and develop personal skills in a practical setting. A possible career goal may be to become a healthcare scientist, with the longer-term aspiration of moving into medical research/industry with a budding interest in consultancy work.
