I am currently studying Sociology with my original aspiration of becoming a teacher. However, in studying at Glasgow I have been given the opportunity to study Politics/International Relations and History. By studying these extra subjects I have realised I have many career options with a job in Politics becoming more appealing. I would be interested in working with the public and have an interest in social issues. Out with university I enjoy going new places, meeting new people and can't wait to travel again soon. Glasgow is full of friendly faces so university has been great to easily connect with like minded people sharing my interests.

I'm alex, I'm a final yaer psychology student, I run the psychology society and am a trustee at the student union as well as a research assistant and student ambassador at BU. On the weekend I play rugby and enjoy reading and playing music.

Hi, I'm Alexandra and I'm a 1st year Drama undergraduate student at UEA. I'm Spanish/Bolivian but have lived most of my life in Bolivia. As someone with a passion for stage and screen, I chose the Drama course at UEA to develop and acquire more skills that would allow me to succeed in my career path. I am particularly passionate about scriptwriting, acting and filmmaking, so in the future, I hope I can dedicate myself to all of them. I was previously studying graphic design in Bolivia, but I decided to apply to UEA to pursue my goals; however, I still dedicate some time to it because I love it. I also enjoy photography (especially nature photography), drawing and painting, writing and dancing.

Hi, I’m Alexia! I’m a second year student in my undergraduate degree (including a placement year), working as a student ambassador for BU.

I have Portuguese parents but I was born in the UK, so I am more fluent in English but I can hold a good conversation in Portuguese :]. 

In the future, I want to become a counselling psychologist/therapist and also pursue music in some form (although that bit isn’t planned out yet lol). I have 2 Mainecoon cats and practice a variety of sports and musical instruments, including kickboxing and piano. It’ll be tough to balance everything this year but I’m determined to stay healthy and happy throughout my degree and make the most out of the social aspect of uni!

Student life: I enjoy spending my free time trying new food places around Glasgow and volunteering for various societies. 

Other: I love to travel and have been on a variety of travel placements that have been supported by the university, such as working at camps in America and Canada, going on a pilgrimage to Palestine, and studying a semester abroad in Austria.
