Liverpool John Moores UniversityComputer Science, BSc (Hons)Currently in my second year, I’m focused on making the most of my degree and building a strong foundation in my field. After completing my bachelor’s, my plan is to pursue a master’s in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. I’m passionate about using AI to tackle real-world challenges, and eventually, I’d love to work in a tech company that’s leading the way in innovation. My vision is to be part of projects that push the boundaries of what technology can achieve—I’m excited about what the future holds! Amberin
Brunel University of LondonComputer ScienceHey there! I'm Amberin. I'm currently on my placement year working as a cybersecurity analyst as part of my computer science degree. It’s been an exciting journey, and I’d be happy to help you with any questions about the course, placement opportunities, cybersecurity, campus life, or anything else you’d like to know. Feel free to reach out! Amir
Abertay UniversityBSc (Hons) Computer Game Applications DevelopmentPassionate about games programming, I am constantly on the lookout for new knowledge in the field. My primary interest is in creating engaging gaming experiences. I find joy in playing story-driven games during my leisure time and have a particular interest for the nostalgic music of 1980s Japanese city pop. Excited to share my experiences, especially about university life, I am ready to guide and provide insights based on my journey. Antony
Brunel University of LondonComputer ScienceHey there! I'm a third-year computer science student from Tanzania. When I'm not buried in code, you can find me on the football field, shooting hoops on the basketball court, or battling it out in online battle royale games—I'm a bit of a gaming enthusiast. I've also got a thing for cars, their mechanics and design fascinate me. What really excites me, though, is the idea of merging my interests with artificial intelligence. The thought of blending manual processes with AI tech gets me fired up. So, fellow future students, remember that your passions can lead you to exciting places, and I can't wait to explore this journey with you! Arefeen
Leeds Trinity UniversityComputer Science BSc (Hons)Hi there! I’m an international student at LTU, and I’ve had the incredible experience of living in both India and the UK before joining university. Growing up in Sheffield and Bangalore has given me a unique perspective and a love for traveling, exercising, and outdoor activities. I always seek movement and cherish being around nature. I’m passionate about attending events, meeting new people, socializing, and learning from others. I also enjoy shopping and exploring new places. I know exactly what you’re going through because I’ve been there myself. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions – I’m here to help! Trust me, it’s all going to be alright. So take a deep breath, relax, and let’s enjoy this journey together! Catty
Bangor UniversityComputer ScienceHi! I’m Catty and I graduated from Bangor University in 2024 with a undergraduate degree in Computer Science. This year I will be starting my PhD, focusing on "Electric Vehicle Routing for Middle Mile Logistics Operations". I am passionate about addressing climate change, and my research will explore the application of Artificial Intelligence to this problem. The project is also aligned with government guidelines on achieving Net Zero Emissions. Claudia
University of BathComputer Science and Artificial Intelligence MComp (Hons)Hiya! I am a fourth-year CompSci student who is currently on placement. I am originally from Tenerife, Spain and though I do miss the weather I am grateful I made the decision to move to Bath for uni. I love music and dance and I really enjoy getting involved in societies like Latin and Ballroom or Chaos (our choir and orchestra society). I am also a peer mentor, so I’ll be ready to answer your questions regarding the CompSci department and what being a student at Bath is like. Gabriel
University of SussexComputer Science and Artificial Intelligence BSc (Hons)Hi, I’m Gabriel and I’m a first year Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence student. I have always been obsessed with computers and knew I wanted to go into the industry from quite a young age. University was the obvious choice to me; it gave me a good path towards my future career and the whole aspect of it appealed to me. The best thing about university is being able to study a subject you're passionate about surrounded by others who feel the same. I am still unsure as to exactly which area of computer science I want to go into, but this is common, and I still have a few years of university left to help me figure this out. Feel free to ask me any questions! Josh
University of PlymouthBSc (Hons) Computer Science with Foundation YearHi there My names Josh I'm a first year studying Computer science at the University of Plymouth. I'm an avid muscian with over 13 instruments under my belt. alongside that I love being outdoors and camping. additonally I really enjoy playing airsoft, a sport similar to paintballing. Whilst at Uni I ski and am part of the rock pool project. Im happy to answer any questions you have especially about computer science and robotics. Joshua
University of BathComputer Science BSc (Hons)Hey, I'm Josh - a computer science student at the University of Bath. Outside of academics, I spend most of my time playing tennis, surfing and working jobs to afford all of the things I love doing. I'm most interested in working on projects that pose a challenge, and force me out of my comfort zone - e.g. a traffic simulation I wrote in a programming language called Rust last year. In the future, I’m excited to continue building things with the skills I learn, and am currently pursuing a career in R&D Kiya
Bournemouth UniversityBA (Hons) Computer Animation Art and DesignHello! I'm Kiya, a student ambassador for Bournemouth University, studying Animation. Our course here is strongly focused on 3D animation, which allows us to explore industry-standard tools and techniques. While we don’t have a specific 2D animation unit, life drawing is a key part of the curriculum and really helps to develop an understanding of movement and anatomy—skills that are critical in both 2D and 3D animation. I’ve always been fascinated by the way animation brings stories to life, whether it’s through films, musicals, or even video games. I’m especially inspired by movies like *Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse* for its incredible use of both 2D and 3D animation, and musicals like "back to the future the musical" which bring so much color and energy to storytelling along side film techniques on stage . Those influences really shape my creative process, and I often find myself blending styles from different mediums in my personal projects. BU has given me a solid foundation in 3D animation through software like Maya and Unreal Engine, but what really excites me is how the course encourages us to think creatively and find our own artistic voice. It’s not just about the technical skills; it’s about how you tell a story visually and emotionally. If you have any questions about the Animation course, BU, or why bournemouth is such a good place for animation students, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to share my experience and passion for animation! Lewis
Bangor UniversityComputer ScienceI'm A PhD student, currently researching nuclear fuel material characteristics. I have completed a BSc, MSc and MScRES in computer science. I have designed a simple CPU at the digital logic level, written a Z80 simulator and an developed X-Ray teaching tool as part of my progress through education. I maintain and have worked on a number of open source projects. Outside of computing, I'm a very regular gym goer, was captain of the canoe club last year (and have been white water kayaking for 8-9 years and hold a number of qualifications) and enjoy climbing. I am also a classically trained pianist and (slowly) produce electronic music with a number of synthesizers. I'm a very friendly, sociable and approachable individual who has always tried to help other students where needed.
