    Hi! I'm Alexandra, in my final year of Finance with Actuarial Science. I love all things fun from enjoying the hustle and bustle of London to learning more about Finance and Actuarial Science, its exciting I get to do all that at City. A Malaysian/ Singaporean who loves cooking but also has her fair share of take outs ( I know some delicious spots!), made some good friends and have taken many flights over my term breaks. I love my degree because of the skills I get to hone especially analytically but also because of the exposure I have when I get to choose my electives- I am exposed and developed holistically. Regarding accommodation: I've tried Halls, Private Student Accommodation and Private Accommodation. I got in through UK A Levels and a UOL Foundation Certificate.     Hi! I'm Eleesya Sofea I'm a 2nd year Actuarial Science student at the University of Essex and an international student from Malaysia. I have a strong passion for mathematics, statistics, and problem-solving, and I aspire to become an actuary in the future, using my analytical skills to assess risks and make informed financial decisions. Beyond academics, I'm actively involved in social events and love connecting with new people. I also sometimes volunteer with the university’s V-Team, which allows me to give back to the community and develop new skills.     Finance with Actuarial Science BSc (Hons)
    I am a second-year student at City, University of London, currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science (I’m sure you haven’t heard much about this course!). My academic journey has been shaped by diverse experiences across different countries. Originally from Pakistan, I was raised in the UAE, where I developed a strong passion for both academics and sports. Representing the UAE at the U16 national level in cricket was a proud moment that taught me the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. After completing my IGCSEs in the UAE, I moved to the UK at 17 to further my education. I completed a foundation course at Kaplan, which prepared me for the rigorous academic environment at university. My dedication paid off when I secured admission into City, where I’m now delving into the world of risk and probability through my studies in Actuarial Science. At City, I’m focused on excelling academically while also developing a well-rounded skill set for a successful career in actuarial science. My journey from Pakistan to the UAE and now to the UK has been one of growth, learning, and embracing new challenges, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next.
