Make sustainable living common-place

We are a global company with a global purpose – ‘to make sustainable living common-place’. With a history of over 100 years, and now as global business leaders, we are known for our great brands and our belief that doing business the right way drives superior performance.

Founded in 1929 by Lord Lever, Unilever began from a simple bar of Sunlight Soap. Since then, we have become one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies with more than 400 brands found in homes all over the world. Some of these brands include, TRESemmé, Dove, Lynx, Marmite, Magnum, Pot Noodles, Hellman’s, Sure, Vaseline, Domestos, Graze, Lifebuoy, Sure, Liquid IV, Colman’s, The Vegetarian Butcher, and many more! Unilever generated €59.6 billion in 2023, with 58% of this being produced from emerging markets, it’s no wonder that we are in 98% of houses in the UK, go have a look, we might even be in yours! Faced with the challenge of climate change and the desire for human development, we want to move towards a world where everyone can live well and within the natural limits of the planet. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and we strive to actively do more good for our planet and society – not just less harm. We want to act on the social and environmental issues facing the world and we want to enhance people’s lives with our innovative, sustainable, and high-quality products. We are looking for talented students who can challenge the way things are done, bring new ideas to the table, and dare to make big decisions to help us achieve our vision. Alongside this, we look for people who can ignite change as well as adapt to it, identify growth opportunities, and proactively encourage others to achieve results.

Testimonials

I was recommended the Unilever Apprenticeship Scheme

After finishing my A levels, I was recommended the Unilever Apprenticeship Scheme. 7 years later, I am still working for the business as an Assistant Brand Manager in the Personal Care team and have built a successful career in a company with a plethora of learning opportunities.

Learning from industry leading experts

Learning from industry leading experts helped me grow and gain valuable experiences. Degree apprenticeships aren't just about getting a qualification; they play a huge role in personal and professional development going far beyond a degree. To anyone who is interested, go for it!

My apprenticeship opened my eyes

I decided to join Unilever full time as I really enjoyed the team I worked in and wanted to push myself for a more senior role in the business and learn more about finance. My apprenticeship opened my eyes to how the finance function works in a global company.
I was first drawn to Unilever due to their unwavering commitment to sustainability, and every day here has only reinforced my decision. From the very start, I've been trusted with great responsibilities, treated as a valued member of my team and have been given opportunities to make real contributions. Being an Apprentice here never means you're just an apprentice. The prospects to learn and grow are invaluable, and I'm continually inspired by the brilliant people I work with.
