Testimonials

“For the three years I’ve been an apprentice, Rolls-Royce has completely smashed my expectations. I’ve grown as a person and I am excited for the rest of my career.”

My programme combines work and studying at university. The university aspect covers a wide variety of engineering topics, including design materials and electronics aerospace engineering. Everything we learn can be applied when I come back to work.

“Being part of the finance apprenticeship at Rolls-Royce is an incredible experience. It’s inspiring to work at a globally recognised company where innovation and excellence are at the heart of everything.”

The 5 year programme offers invaluable hands-on experience, with a range of placements across areas such as Civil, Submarines, GBS and Head Office, all whilst studying towards AAT (level 4) and Cima (level 7) qualifications, respectively.

“Just be yourself, apply and you never know where it might lead you.”

What my internship has taught me is that this is what I really want to do. It’s given me a future insight into working in manufacturing engineering and it’s just confirmed that I made the right choices for my career path.I like the freedom.
I’ve always liked STEM subjects, at college I picked maths, chemistry, biology for A level. I knew I wanted a get a degree and with Rolls-Royce paying for my studies, I’ve now got a BSC in Project Management and 3 years’ work experience with Rolls-Royce, which is great. I’ve had such a positive experience here. There is a big focus on diversity and inclusion and there are lots of resource groups for women that help to empower us and drive equality in the workplace. My cohort was 50/50 women and men and people are from all sorts of different backgrounds.
