NHBC is the UK’s leading independent provider of warranty and insurance for new-build homes. Our purpose is to build confidence in the construction quality of new homes by assessing, inspecting and directly insuring new homes registered with us.
Established in 1936, NHBC insures over 1.5 million homes, with a new home warranty market share of approximately 80%. NHBC is a non-profit distributing organisation with no shareholders. We are independent of government and the construction industry. We are an insurance company authorised by the Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) and dual regulated by the PRA and the Financial Conduct Authority.
