We believe understanding the earth is key. At Fugro, we unlock its secrets in the form of Geo-data, which we apply to develop safer, more sustainable, and more efficient operations. It’s how we help create a safe and liveable world – together.

Our love of exploration and technical expertise help us to provide our clients with invaluable insights. We source and make sense of the most relevant Geo-data for their needs, so they can design, build and operate their assets more safely, sustainably and efficiently. We’re always looking for new talent to take the next step with us. Bring your energy and enthusiasm, keen eye and can-do attitude. Bring your questions and opinions. Because to be the world’s leading Geo-data specialist, we need the strength in depth that comes from a diverse driven team.

We Are Fugro

We use the power of geo-data to unlock the secrets of the earth, by mapping and analysing the natural and built environment.

Fugro aspires to attract, develop and retain people from all sorts of backgrounds.

Adding new talent to our team, from disparate places and with distinctive perspectives, stands us in good stead as we work together to create a safe and liveable world.

Our approach to diversity, equity and inclusion is simple. We want to encourage a culture of belonging, in which everyone can bring their best selves to work with confidence. Doing so involves initiatives that support all, irrespective of race, ethnicity, nationality, class, caste, religion, belief, gender, language, age, health and education – or any other attributes that make our people unique. With our values in mind – we are determined to deliver, we prepare for tomorrow, we do what’s right and we build trust – we’re actively creating a culture in which our people feel empowered to be authentic and bring new ideas, based on their unique knowledge and experiences. And by encouraging enterprise and growth on personal and professional levels, we’re aiming to build an even stronger workforce. Fugro provides a positive work environment as well as projects that will satisfy the most curious minds. We also offer great opportunities to stretch and develop yourself. Testimonials

I get to be practical, rather than sit at a desk.

As a geotechnical engineer I get be practical, rather than sit at a desk. Working on site is great as it allows me to travel. I’ve seen more of the UK in the 2 years that I’ve worked for Fugro, than during my entire childhood.

I learn something new every day.

Every day is a new discovery for me. I learn something new and gain a lot of experience. I have a mentor in Fugro who is not a geophysicist, he has a geo-technical background. It’s a great way to make sure I keep learning, even outside of the scope of my own work.

The beauty of Fugro is it gives you opportunities.

I could have taken a different role, like in research, a technical role or in the workshop. Fugro gave me options at every stop on the way and I had the freedom to choose in which direction I wanted to develop. That’s the beauty of Fugro for me, it gives you opportunities.
First I was involved with Marine projects for 13 years, where I spent a lot of time at sea on drilling vessels, collecting samples and doing basic laboratory testing. Last year I moved to the land division, where I am getting more exposure to sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, I manage and train Graduate Engineers and Project Engineers. My workplace is both on site and at the office. We do a lot of laboratory testing here in our Wallingford location, investigating the properties of the sampled soil and rock.
