Annual Admissions Conference 2022

Level 3 after the Post-16 Review – an Exam Board perspective

Tuesday 05 April 2022 16:00 - 17:00
Open to all

Summary

The DfE Review of Post-16 qualifications at Level 3 will change the landscape for university admissions. No longer will large, 3 A level equivalent vocational Extended Diplomas (108o GLH) qualifications be funded beyond 2025. Instead, there will be an offer of A levels, T levels and some smaller sized, 1 A level equivalent, Applied General Qualifications (AGQs). We will offer a view on how we will respond to these changes and the impact for schools, sixth form colleges and FE colleges and the supply side for young people entering university. We will also share what we know about progress from a school’s perspective with a blend of academic and vocational qualification in relation to preparation for HE studies (elements of research that we have undertaken previously)
