Extra, Clearing, and Records of Prior Acceptance (RPAs), in practice for the 2021 application cycle
Monday 08 April 2019
15:45 - 16:35
Discussion – a short presentation, mainly interactive
Most suitable for intermediate, advanced, experienced, or senior staff
Summary
UCAS colleagues will explain what the final Clearing Working Group recommendations are, and how they will support the 2021 application cycle, that will run using the new UCAS Undergraduate application management service (UG AMS).
In addition, delegates will be taken through the processes that will support applicants to secure a place, outside their main set of choices.
Delegates will be invited to reflect on these plans and ask questions, to ensure they understand any process-related local changes that may be required.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand what the 2021 entry cycle in UG AMS will look like – in terms of how Extra, Clearing, and RPAs will be handled.
- Be able to cascade learnings to their own stakeholders, so that any required local operational/process changes can be considered and followed up.
