Take the spotlight!

Showcase your talents and tell us what’s great about life at a conservatoire and you could win £2,500!

We've extended the deadline!

UCAS Conservatoires is all about nurturing the next generation of talent; and who better to tell them what’s great about life at a UK conservatoire than someone who’s living it already… you!

But how? Craft a video lasting a minute, or a 3,500 character essay (with spaces), giving a flavour of your conservatoire experience. Keep it short, but don’t let that limit your imagination – get creative with the way you present the info.

Here’s your motivation: reprise your role as a sixth form student – get in the mindset of someone exploring their post-18 options.

Think about:

  • who/what inspired you to pursue a music/dance/drama-related course.
  • why you chose to study at a conservatoire over university or HE college.
  • what qualifications you needed for your course.
  • what the audition process was like.
  • how you got the funding needed.
  • the benefits of studying at a conservatoire.
  • what day-to-day life is like at a conservatoire.

We've extended the deadline for this competition, so it now runs from 26 January until 09:00 (UK time) on 16 March 2015. The best video and best essay will scoop the top prize of £2,500 (each), with £1,000 on offer for each runner up… prizes not to be sniffed at!
