Advisers – request to amend qualifications

Please use this form to let us know about any changes to your students' qualifications, after they have submitted their application to UCAS and received their welcome email.

Please note, it may take up to 21 days for these changes to be actioned. We will email you to confirm once the changes have been made. 

These are the changes we can and cannot make: 

WE CAN:  WE CANNOT:
  • add, remove or amend overall qualifications
  • change the exam centre number
  • change the awarding body/exam board
  • change qualification titles
  • change the type and level of the qualification
  • change the qualification results date
  • change qualification grades that a student received prior to submitting their application
  • change, add, or remove unit/module/subject information within a qualification. Your student will need to discuss this with their choices 
  • attach certificates to the application for their choices to access. These can be sent directly to their choices 
  • add new results/grades they receive after submission. Please see our results process to see how their choices will receive their results
  • add, remove, or change predicted grades. Your student will need to discuss this with their chosen universities and colleges
  • remove a qualification that a student has completed and received a grade for, even if the result is ungraded 


Please note: 

  • We can change the exam centre number if requested, but the name of the exam centre showing in the application will not change. 
  • When manually updating qualifications, we have a limited selection of awarding bodies. For example: Cambridge will display as CAM, Edexcel will display as EDEX, CCEA will display as NI, and smaller bodies will display as ‘OTH’. Your students' choices will be aware of this.
