#BelongAtUni competition Ts & Cs

These are the terms and conditions for the #BelongAtUni competition.

  1. The promoter is: THE UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES ADMISSIONS SERVICE (company no. 2839815) whose registered office is Rosehill, New Barn Lane, Cheltenham, GL52 3LZ (“UCAS”).
  2. Employees of UCAS or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter.
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition. However all participants must have tweeted a photograph of their room at university or college together with the hashtag #BelongAtUni. Entries from individuals who do not meet all of the criteria in this clause will not be entered into this competition.
  4. Entries may be submitted from 17 September 2015, and the closing date for entries is 23:59 (UK time) on 17 September 2015. After this date no further entries to the competition will be accepted.
  5. UCAS will choose one winner at its sole discretion, whose entry it deems to be the best, and they will win £50 of Love2Shop vouchers.
  6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  7. UCAS reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  8. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  9. The prize is not transferable. The prize is subject to availability and UCAS reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equivalent or greater value without giving notice.
  10. The winner will be notified on Twitter within 14 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not provide a postal address to which the prize can be sent within seven days of notification, UCAS reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  11. UCAS’ decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. UCAS will own the copyright in all entries.  By entering, all contestants agree to assign copyright in their entries to UCAS.
  13. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  14. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  15. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  16. The winner’s name and county and the winning entry will be available 24 days after the closing date by sending a stamped addressed envelope to UCAS at the above address.
