The Annual Teacher and Adviser Conference 2025 round-up

Earlier this week over 550 educators and advisers joined us in Birmingham, for two days of insightful discussions and professional development.

Attendees engaged in a variety of sessions designed to enhance their support for students navigating higher education pathways. New for 2025 were roundtable discussions with peer-to-peer learning among school communities, and masterclasses offering practical insights into core fundamentals, including preparation for the 2026 entry cycle.

The agenda was structured to maximise learning and collaboration. Day one started with a plenary session on ‘Navigating the Evolving Higher Education Landscape’, with UCAS’ Chief Executive, Dr Jo Saxton CBE, and Professor Colin Bailey, President and Principal of Queen Mary University of London, sharing strategies to supercharge student progression.

A highlight of the conference was the launch of the Big UCAS Data Presentation, with the top ten data points advisers told us they wanted to hear more about. The report provided delegates with the latest insight to support student decision-making.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event and all those who could attend in person. We will be sharing all the key takeaways in the coming weeks so all teachers and advisers can access the latest information to support their students.

Thank you so much, the conference was amazing, so insightful, informative and a great opportunity to meet other individuals from across the sector, and share experiences, and learn from them. I have learned so much over the two-day conference, which I will be able to share with my colleagues and put into practice with our lovely students.
